“Watch Dr. Stanton as she Discusses National Better Sleep Month”

May is recognized as Better Sleep Month, and the bioidentical hormone doctors at BodyLogicMD, the nation’s largest network of highly trained physicians specializing in bioidentical hormones, fitness and nutrition agree that quality and quantity of rest are paramount to good health Web Design

Insomnia and sleeplessness are commonly the result of chronic stress, anxiety, thyroid disorders, depression, night sweats, endocrine problems, sleep apnea, chronic fatigue syndrome and other symptoms of hormonal imbalance oftentimes brought on by perimenopause, menopause and andropause (the male menopause).

Most adults require seven to nine hours of sleep each night, depending on the individual. Getting adequate sleep improves concentration, mood, memory, decision-making ability and helps to optimize overall health. In addition to the basics, sleep has also been found to keep your heart healthy, prevent cancer, reduce stress and stress-induced inflammation, boost the metabolism, and improve immunity at business brokers sunshine coast..

So what’s the downside to not getting enough sleep? Boston bioidentical hormones expert, Dr. Joseph Kaye recently explained that adults who don’t get enough sleep have an increased risk of metabolic disorder and hormonal imbalance. Chronic sleep problems can wreak havoc on the body’s hormonal and metabolic processes and too little sleep has been linked to the on-set of diabetes, lower muscle mass, adrenal fatigue, hypertension (high blood pressure), obesity and heart disease.

adobe photoshop, Phoenix SEO, Drupal web design and SEO, Artist and illustrator in France

According to Dr. Kaye, “Sleep deprivation significantly alters the production and function of hormones throughout the body, causing a decline in the release of thyroid hormones and increasing levels of the stress hormone, cortisol. Furthermore, human growth hormone (HGH), which is a crucial element for many of the body’s key functions, declines when sleep is compromised. Insufficient levels of HGH can cause an imbalance of testosterone, estrogen, and DHEA which can result in hot flashes, low libido, weight gain, and other symptoms commonly associated with menopause and andropause.” Dr. Kaye tells his patients that “adequate sleep is the foundation to balancing hormones.”

Niche Website Strategy Helping you build your website into a success by marketing a niche for you.

Indian Call Center - Bluecallcentre is operated by a company to administer incoming product support or information inquiries from consumers. Outgoing calls for telemarketing, clientele, and debt collection are also made.

The importance of comprehensive and collision coverages on your auto insurance plan can be very subjective depending on your car’s current market value, as well as the cost to repair it should any physical damage occur as a result of an accident, vandalism or theft. To determine if comprehensive and collision coverage is essential to your auto insurance policy, you should combine the costs of your deductibles as well as the cost to keep comprehensive and collision on your plan and decide if the cost is practical. Many times a car that is 10 years old or older would not be practical for keeping that kind of coverage.

It’s quite common for sleep problems to arise from a hormonal imbalance and on the same token; it’s likely that hormonal imbalances will worsen due to lack of rest. If you are experiencing symptoms of insomnia, don’t turn to sleep aids; they don’t solve the problem - instead they create new problems. Sleeping pills are only a temporary solution. According to Dr. Kaye, sleep aids offer only a short term fix and in the long run can ultimately worsen your sleep habits. Instead, make an appointment to have your hormone levels tested. Tens of thousands of women and men have overcome insomnia and are finally sleeping through the night, after balancing their hormones naturally, with bioidentical hormone therapy. Don’t let insomnia get in the way of your overall health; have your hormone levels tested and balanced and get the sleep you’ve been dreaming of.

About Dr. Kaye

As owner of BodyLogicMD of Boston, Dr. Kaye dedicates his New England Integrative Internal Medicine practice to guiding his patients through the process of healthy aging and helping them to alleviate or reverse chronic illness. He helps women and men find relief from symptoms of hormonal imbalance such as low libido, weight gain, irritability, depression, hot flashes and loss of muscle mass. Dr. Kaye offers his patients bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) and customized nutrition, supplement, and fitness programs as well as standard and complementary medical treatment.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the near collision of a southern california jet and a small private plane at Southern California’s Bob Hope Airport.

Southwest’s Flight 649, carrying 119 passengers and five crew members on board a king air 200, was landing at the airport’s runway 8 on Monday while the Cessna 172, departing on runway 15, just cleared the jet.

The Cessna was performing a practice maneuver known as a “touch and go,” in which the aircraft briefly lands before accelerating and going airborne again, the NTSB said.

Runways 8 and 15 intersect at the Burbank airport. The aircraft came within 200 feet of each other vertically and 10 feet laterally at the runway intersection, according to the Federal aircraft charter management. Nobody was injured, and weather conditions were clear.

Improving runway safety is one of NTSB’s “most wanted” goals. The deadliest U.S. runway accident occurred in August 2006, when Comair Flight 5191 crashed after taking off from the wrong runway, killing all but one of the 50 people on board. The worst involving two aircraft happened between a US Airways jet and a commuter plane in a February 1991 collision at the Los Angeles airport, killing 34.

The world’s deadliest aviation accident also happened on a runway. In March 1977, two jumbo jets collided on a runway at the Canary Islands, killing 583 passengers and crew members.

Scientists at the University of Toronto Mississauga are working to find a novel way to stop the transmission of the illness, known as Chagas’ disease.

“This is a disease of the poor. The bugs are found in makeshift homes with mud walls and palm tree-like ceilings,” said Jean-Paul Paluzzi, a PhD candidate in biology at the University of pest control Toronto Mississauga.

Chagas’ disease is one of the major health problems in South and Central America and is spread by reduvid bugs, also known as ”kissing bugs” because of their fondness for lips.

The disease they transmit is caused by Trypanosoma cruzi, a parasite that lives in their gut. In the initial acute stage, symptoms are relatively mild, but as the disease progresses over several years, serious chronic symptoms can appear, such as heart disease and malformation of the intestines. Without treatment, it can be fatal.

Currently, insecticide sprays are used to control insect populations, and anti-parasitic drugs are somewhat successful at treating acute infections. Once the disease is chronic, it cannot be cured.

To make matters worse, kissing bugs are particularly ‘bloodthirsty’. In mosquitoes, which go through four distinct stages of development, only adult females feed on blood (and potentially transmit disease).

This means that Toronto pest control methods need to target only one out of eight stages (when you include both sexes). But in kissing bugs, each sex feeds on blood through all fives stages of development.

“So you have about a ten-fold greater chance of infection just because of the number of times that these insects have to feed,” said Paluzzi.

His research focuses on insect diuresis-more specifically, the genes and peptides that control how the kissing bug eliminates excess fluid in its gut after it gorges on blood.

For the insect, the real prize in its meal is the red blood cells, while the water and salt is “excess baggage”. After they feed, the bugs are bloated and sluggish, and must jettison the waste so they can make their escape.

When the kissing bug finds a snoozing victim and feeds, its levels of serotonin and diuretic hormones rise sharply, targeting the insect’s midgut and Malpighian tubules (the equivalent of kidneys), and triggering the release of waste. About four hours later, a peptide named CAP2b is released in the insect’s gut, abolishing the effect of the diuretic hormones.

Paluzzi has identified two genes that carry the chemical recipe for the peptides that stop diuresis. With that information, he hopes to create a peptide ‘agonist’- something that would enhance the activity of the CAP2B peptide and prevent the insect from leaving waste (and the parasite) on the wound.

In theory, says Paluzzi, this might be an insecticide-like room spray or topical lotion that is biologically stable and has no effect on humans or other insects.

One company makes wireless sensors and the other develops datacenter monitoring and management software. This week RF Code and Modius announced a partnership with Branson Web Design in which they will integrate their products, with Modius’ flagship OpenData data center management software now accepting environmental data directly from RF Code’s radio frequency ID (RFID) sensors from SAM SEO Company India. As network management companies seek to control energy costs and carbon emissions, measuring data center energy use is growing in importance. Wireless cloud monitoring is valuable because it allows company to retrofit existing data centers to detect “hot spots” where cooling may not be reaching servers. Fine-tuning cooling systems allows data centers to make more efficient use of the energy used by cooling systems, which often consume as much energy as IT equipment. Modius OpenData software allows users to manage the performance of both IT devices and facilities infrastructure across an array of sites, including data centers management, call centers, server closets, and mechanical yards. Modius can track most types of equipment that has either a serial or network interface, including uninterrupted power supplies (UPSs), generators and power distribution units (PDU). RF Code’s wire-free active sensor-based software solution from SEO India monitors and alerts about a broad range of environmental factors—from changes in temperature and humidity to the sudden presence of liquids. Small RFID tags are attached to servers and racks, and monitor environmental conditions in a rack. Integrating environmental data into the OpenData platform provides customers with a more complete picture of conditions in their data center. (See Tracking Data Center Assets With RFID) ““We’re delighted to have RF Code as a partner,” said Craig Compiano, CEO of Modius. “Their open approach to integration has made it easy to extend the value of our OpenData solution by adding critical environmental information that affects the performance and availability of our customers’ physical assets.”” “Integrating environmental information nicely complements the information OpenData already provides,” said Mitch Medford, CEO of RF Code. “It’s a perfect fit.”

The movement of stock prices in the days and weeks leading to and following these earnings announcements may follow a predictable pattern. Most companies stock price histories show random or unpredictable movements around earnings dates. But some seem to repeat the same pattern quarter after quarter, year after year. In fact, the event was a stunt aimed at channeling opposition to the plant closure in a nationalist, anti-Japanese direction.

The rally was sparsely attended by workers, reflecting widespread disgust with the UAW. It was a media event organized by the union apparatus, which the vast majority of workers rightly see as complicit in the closure of the plant. Some 4,500 workers will lose their managed care nursing jobs when the plant closes March 31.

Last month, anger among auto workers boiled over at a Local 2244 meeting, with lvn jobs in orange county ca workers nearly coming to blows with union functionaries. (See “The class divide between US auto workers and the UAW”)

The main speakers at the rally were all enemies of the working class—including AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka, who helped destroy thousands of managed care jobs as head of the United Mine Workers; UAW Vice President Bob King, next president of the UAW, who negotiated contract concessions at Ford last year that were resoundingly rejected by auto workers; and Democratic Party officials who have helped carry out the destruction of social programs and jobs throughout the state.

In June 2009, GM pulled out of the NUMMI joint venture. GM’s decision assured the eventual closure of the plant, which Toyota announced in September of last year. This was part of bankruptcy proceedings overseen by the Obama administration that led to the shutting of dozens of plants and massive attacks on auto workers throughout the country. The UAW fully agreed with the GM pullout, and it supported the bankruptcy process as a whole, which was aimed at boosting GM profitability on the backs of workers. No union official has proposed boycotting GM, Chrysler or Ford over their attack on auto workers.

In exchange for abandoning and impoverishing thousands of the workers it nominally represents, the UAW was richly rewarded with control over the multibillion-dollar retirement health insurance program—the Voluntary Employee Benefit Association fund. It has become a principal shareholder in the Big Three US automakers—GM, Ford and Chrysler–with a direct interest in increasing the exploitation of auto workers.

The UAW is now seizing on the closure of NUMMI to launch a chauvinist anti-Japanese campaign to boycott Toyota. At both the rally and on UAW Local 2244’s web site a Toyota logo has been prominently featured, morphed into a skull, under the headline, “Toyota stealing lvn jobs California.”

The effort dovetails with the recall of Toyota vehicles over safety concerns. US auto companies have seized on the legitimate concerns of consumers in an attempt to boost sales for the Big Three, which have themselves been plagued by safety problems and recalls over the years.

The rally’s master of ceremonies was Art Pulaski, secretary treasurer of the California Labor Federation, which combines the state’s AFL-CIO and Change to Win unions. Pulaski—very conscious of the public relations purpose behind the rally—pranced around announcing speakers like a circus ringmaster, filling the interim periods with meaningless jargon and slogans such as: “Stop your plan to close us down, don’t be the bad guy in this town.”

The first speaker was Trumka, described by Pulaski as the “leader of the labor movement in the United States.” Trumka’s speech—which was delivered via teleconference from his Washington, DC headquarters–centered on the boycott plan to “take a message to Toyota dealerships in California that Toyota kills American jobs.” Later in the meeting, this tactic was not even described as a boycott but “one of the most aggressive informational campaigns in history.”

Next was the California state treasurer, Democrat Bill Lockyer, an experienced representative of corporate America in California. Lockyer recently urged an immediate and deep attack on social programs critical for working Californians. He advised the California Legislative Counsel on behalf of the state’s well-heeled creditors saying, “My suggestion to you is don’t delay the pain. It’s going to be awful, but just get it done. It’s going to be worse if it doesn’t get done.”

Lockyer spoke of the need to protect “these vibrant middle class jobs.” He also adopted a stance of opposition to Toyota and the plant closure, calling on those in attendance to tell Toyota “we won’t stand for this.” Like Trumka, his speech was short on specifics and lasted only a few minutes.

Like the other speakers, Bob King said nothing about GM or the UAW’s own role in abandoning the workers, blaming only Toyota’s decision to close NUMMI. Seemingly oblivious to the immediate impact on the near 50,000 workers at NUMMI and its suppliers, King argued only that the plant closure would be bad for the environment because Toyota will have to ship the cars a longer distance to market. He declared the plant closure “a slap in the face to environmentalists” and closed with the same call for a boycott.

Teamsters Vice President Rome Aloise then took the stage advocating a more aggressive brand of nationalism. To the legislators present he suggested protectionist measures. As for the boycott, he adopted the tone of a high school football coach, saying, “You gotta be mad, your grandma needs to be mad and your kids need to be mad. You gotta go to those dealerships and put it in their face.” He closed saying, “We are gonna show you how to be mad” and “we gotta bring this fight to Japan!”

The UAW had the gall to drag out Javier Contreras, bargaining chairman of Local 2244, who was denounced by auto workers after shouting obscenities at them during an earlier union meeting. This was an effort to publicly rehabilitate him before the media in a forum where actual NUMMI workers were a small minority. His portion of the rally presented more of the same hollow sloganeering with a dose of cynicism added, when he told the audience—with a straight face—of the importance of respecting NUMMI workers.

Anti-Japanese chauvinism has long been a stock-in-trade of the UAW, which in the 1970s and 1980s organized the smashing of Japanese cars. However, when it served its interests, the UAW embraced the NUMMI plant as a model for “labor-management partnership” and Japanese production methods, which were adopted in GM and throughout the auto industry.

The UAW is resorting to such poisonous nationalism in order to divide workers and subordinate them to the interests of the US based auto companies.

The rally underscores the need for NUMMI workers to form rank-and-file committees, independent of the UAW, to fight the closure of the plant, including preparations for a plant occupation to defend all jobs.

The U.S. will probe whether to ban imports of Research In Motion Ltd.’s BlackBerry smartphones based on a patent-infringement complaint filed by Motorola Inc.

The U.S. International Trade Commission will look into claims that Research In Motion’s customized bags products infringe five patents, according to a notice on the ITC’s Web site. Motorola filed the complaint with the agency on Jan. 22, targeting the Pearl, Curve, Bold, Storm and Tour smartphones, as well as their battery packs.

The ITC case is just one legal dispute between Motorola, the largest U.S. mobile-phone maker, and RIM, maker of the top- selling smartphone in the U.S. The companies had a license agreement in place from 2003 to 2007 and have been suing each other over patents since then after they were unable to reach terms on a new agreement.

“In light of RIM’s continued unlicensed use of Motorola’s patents, RIM’s use of delay tactics in our current patent litigation and RIM’s refusal to design out Motorola’s proprietary technology, Motorola had no choice but to file complaint with the ITC to halt RIM’s continued infringement,” said Tama McWhinney, a spokeswoman for Motorola.

In February, a judge in London ruled that RIM didn’t infringe a U.K. patent owned by Motorola. Complaints also are pending in federal court in Texas.

Patent Probes

The ITC is a government agency whose job is to investigate allegations of unfair trade practices, such as patent infringement. If a violation is found, it can order U.S. customs officials to prevent the products from entering the country. Unlike a civil court, the ITC doesn’t have the power to order RIM to pay royalties.

“By instituting this investigation, the U.S. ITC has not yet made any decision on the merits of the case,” the real estate software Canada agency said in a statement announcing the investigation.

AZ Mortgage - Find low rates on Arizona home mortgages at Arizona Central Credit Union.

The patents in the ITC case relate to some early-stage innovations developed by Motorola in key areas such as Wi-Fi access, application management, user interface and power management, Motorola said in a Jan. 22 statement. The technology allows better connectivity at a lower cost, the company claims.

Schaumburg, Illinois-based Motorola said in the complaint that the inventions are used in its own Rival 455, Cliq and Droid phones.

Kodak Claims

Marisa Conway, a spokeswoman for Waterloo, Ontario-based RIM, said the company doesn’t comment on pending litigation.

Earlier this week, the ITC said it would investigate claims by Eastman Kodak Co. that its patents were infringed by RIM and Apple Inc. Kodak also is seeking to block imports of RIM phones and the Apple iPhone.

The ITC typically completes its investigations in about 15 months.

Motorola is planning to split in two next year, combining the mobile-phone and set-top box divisions into one publicly traded company and the enterprise mobility and networks units into a second business.

Motorola was unchanged at $7.01 in New York Stock Exchange composite trading. RIM fell 29 cents to $71.03 in Nasdaq Stock Market trading.

The new case is in the Matter of Wireless Communication System Server Software, 337-706, U.S. International Trade Commission (Washington).

MELFA –The first class offered for the spring 2010 Eastern Shore Community College’s noncredit program will be on Web site design.

This class should primarily be of interest to the small- and medium- sized business owner. Advertising your products or services for windows xp functions on the Internet may be an opportunity to grow your business.

In fact, in a very short time your Internet business might grow to exceed your present shop-window business. If you’re interested, there are a number of basic questions to ask yourself: What do you want your Web site to do? Who are your customers and will they find your Web site? Do you want them to order online? Can you create a Web site yourself or should you hire a professional? How long will it take to set it up and how good will it be? How much time will it take to maintain Tech Gadgets?

This comprehensive course will try to help you answer those questions and briefly show you the available software to do it yourself. If you decide not to do it yourself, it’s still good to know what you’re talking about, and in that case another set of questions arise: How can I find a professional? How much will that cost? How can I tell him or her what I want?

You will learn how to monitor the performance of your Web site. You also need to be able to make changes to your Web site, either yourself or through your Web master. The class might also be of interest to anyone managing a club or congregation, for example.

Instructor Suzanne Anglim has 13 years experience of Web site design, development and management, and of network management, and has taught computer science for four years at the university level. The class will be held at the college from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for five Thursdays beginning Feb. 4. There are no pre-requisites, no textbooks, and no exams: teaching is hands-on and open discussion is encouraged. The cost is $95. Call 757-789-7979 for details or to register.
